Dear Broward Democratic Executive Committee Member:
Congratulations on your election as a Precinct Committee Person. You are now an official voting member of the Broward Democratic Party. Your term will begin on December 1, 2024 and will end on November 30, 2028.
This letter is to notify you that the Broward Democratic Executive Committee will hold its organizational meeting and election of Chair and Officers on Saturday December 7, 2024 at 1:00 pm.

The purpose of the organizational meetings are to elect the following Broward DEC officers:
Saturday December 7, 2024:
● Chair
● First Vice Chair (must be opposite gender of Chair)
● Second Vice Chair
● Recording Secretary
● Corresponding Secretary
● Treasurer
● Lead State Committeeman
● Lead State Committeewoman
● State Committee Persons (39 total)
Pursuant to the Bylaws of the Florida Democratic Party, only Precinct Committee Members elected in the Democratic Primary held August 20, 2024, Democratic members of the State Legislature, county Democratic elected officials, and current Presidents of duly chartered Democratic Clubs and Caucuses, who reside in this county are eligible to vote at this meeting. Only Democratic Precinct Committee Members elected in the August 20 primary are eligible to run for a DEC officer and/or state committee member position.
Any elected Precinct Committee Member interested in running for a Board or State Committee Person position are asked to notify the DEC at https://forms.gle/R8Znrw6kNEm8eqZY7, no later than Wednesday December 4th.
Nominations will also be taken from the floor.
Any member elected as a DEC officer must complete the Party’s loyalty oath before they are eligible to serve.
Democratic Party rules prohibit secret ballots for these elections. Each voting member is entitled to cast one vote for the election of each officer.
If you cannot attend the organizational meeting, you may send a representative as your proxy (click here to download the proxy form). A Precinct Committee Member may designate another DEC member to carry their proxy or alternatively, they may designate a Democrat from their precinct. An automatic member may only designate another Democrat from the county. The executed proxy must be filed with the Chair before the meeting is called to order.
