The 2020 Democratic National Convention will now be held the week of August 17, 2020. Florida’s pledged District-Level delegates will be elected by online votes cast between Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 2:00 PM EDT and close on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 2:00 PM EDT. Request a ballot to vote below:

Requesting an Electronic Ballot

In order to cast your vote in the delegate elections, you must request an electronic ballot on this page. Electronic ballots can be requested until 5:00pm EDT on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. All voters registered as Democrats in the State of Florida are eligible to vote in their Congressional District’s delegate elections.

Once you’ve requested an electronic ballot, you’ll receive an email confirming your request has been received. Requesting your electronic ballot before 5:00pm EDT on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 will enable you to easily access your online ballot during the voting period.

To complete your electronic ballot request, you will need your name and address as they appear on your current voter registration record. You will also need to select a Presidential candidate. Your voting address will determine what Congressional district you vote in. The selection of a Presidential candidate will determine the number of delegate positions up for election in your district as well as the candidates running in those elections. Each District-Level Delegate candidate is pledged to one Presidential candidate.

How Delegate Elections Voting Works

Voting will open Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 2:00 PM EDT and close on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 2:00 PM EDT.

Voters who have requested an electronic ballot by 5:00pm EDT on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 will receive an email on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 2:00 PM with a link and unique code to access an electronic ballot. This unique code ensures each person only casts one vote and that each vote is cast in the proper Congressional District. Each code will expire after use or at 2:00 PM EDT on Saturday, May 16, 2020 with no exceptions.

Voters will be able to request a ballot during the voting period between Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 2:00 PM EDT and Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 2:00 PM EDT. These ballots will be provisional and will be verified after the election, before ballots are tabulated. Voters requesting provisional ballots will enter their information on a ballot request form and receive a unique code and link via email to cast their provisional ballot.

Florida has 143 District-Level Delegates and 13 District-Level Alternates. Each Congressional district is allocated a limited amount of District-Level Delegates to send to National Convention.
